Work Responsibilities of Forklift Operator
- Material Handling: Move and stage material as required to provide assistance to onsite warehouse pickers.
- Safety: Responsible for all safety aspects regarding forklift/heavy equipment. Daily checks must be completed. Conducts daily inspection of equipment used.
- Unloading freight from inbound deliveries to place in the correct areas of the warehouse.
- Loading pallets of product on outbound trucks for delivery to our customers.
- Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to get on and off of a forklift throughout the work day.
- Competent in basic math skills.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Must communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
