Job Role
As a Childcare Staff Nurse, you will:
- Deliver compassionate, family-centred care for children with complex and life-limiting conditions.
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
- Support and mentor non-registered staff in delivering safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless care between the In-Patient Unit (IPU) and community settings.
- Promote the philosophy of holistic care and active engagement of children and their families.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Child or General) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Minimum 1 year of paediatric or palliative care experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
For international nurses:
- Must meet NMC registration criteria (or be in progress).
- Visa sponsorship available for candidates eligible under UK Health and Care Worker Visa guidelines.
