Work Responsibilities

As a Kiwifruit Seasonal Worker, your duties will include:

  • Operating pedestrian pallet trucks to stow kiwifruit pallets in ship holds
  • Loading and positioning pallets safely and efficiently
  • Scanning pallets and completing general loading tasks
  • Maintaining clear radio communication with team members
  • Working as part of a team in a fast-paced port environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

No Experience? No Problem

Qube Ports NZ provides full training, so previous experience in port work or logistics is not required. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are keen to learn and work hard.


Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Be physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Be comfortable working long shifts (up to 12 hours)
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on safety
  • Hold a minimum Restricted Class 1 Driver Licence
  • Have reliable personal transport
  • Be able to work day and/or night shifts
  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand

Pre-Employment Checks

All successful candidates must pass:

  • Pre-employment medical assessment
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • ACC history check
  • Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
