The internship is open to students from any major. There is no minimum GPA requirement, and IELTS is not required if your current degree program is taught in English.
The internship will run from June 5 to August 6, 2026, offering selected participants a stipend, round-trip airfare, and free accommodation. Scholars will work under the guidance of Kyoto University faculty members, gaining research experience while exploring the cultural beauty of Kyoto — famous for its temples, shrines, and traditional gardens.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Internship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled at a college or university in Asia.
- Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study before the internship begins.
- Must have at least one semester remaining after completing the internship.
- Open to both international and domestic students.
- No IELTS required if the applicant’s degree program is conducted in English.
