Applicants must be citizens of World Bank Member Developing Countries, including:

Eligibility Criteria for JJ/WBGSP 2026-27

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of a World Bank Member developing country
  • Must not hold dual citizenship of any developed country
  • Be physically and mentally fit
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before application deadline
  • Have 3+ years of paid, development-related work experience
  • Must apply to a participating Master’s program
  • Must not be an Executive Director, staff member of the World Bank, or a close relative
