Applicants must be citizens of World Bank Member Developing Countries, including:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Cameroon, Haiti, Liberia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Vietnam, and many others.

Eligibility Criteria for JJ/WBGSP 2026-27

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a citizen of a World Bank Member developing country
• Must not hold dual citizenship of any developed country
• Be physically and mentally fit
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before application deadline
• Have 3+ years of paid, development-related work experience
• Must apply to a participating Master’s program
• Must not be an Executive Director, staff member of the World Bank, or a close relative
