About the Role
As a Cyber Security Officer, you’ll be responsible for protecting the organisation’s IT systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You’ll work closely with senior management and technical teams to design, implement, and monitor modern security architectures.
This position blends technical expertise with strategic planning, ensuring security frameworks meet regulatory standards and business objectives.
Work Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for systems and networks.
- Identify and define system security requirements and maintain compliance.
- Support the design and implementation of cybersecurity architecture and frameworks.
- Prepare and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident response and risk management.
- Develop and automate security tools to reduce vulnerabilities and repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance identity, access, and data protection strategies.
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and defensive technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Certifications: CISSP or CISM (essential).
- Technical Skills: Strong background in Azure / Microsoft 365 security.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- Excellent understanding of network security, application security, and APIs.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, DORA, PCI DSS, NIST, EIOPA).
Desirable Skills
- Certifications such as CCSP, CEH, or GIAC GSEC.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud ecosystems, identity management, and data protection.
- Familiarity with security automation, incident response, and threat intelligence tools.
- Awareness of governance and regulatory frameworks within financial or professional services sectors.
