The full name of the OIST is Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. The duration of an OIST internship will be between 2 and 6 months, usually 10 to 12 weeks. Internships are offered to outstanding students in the last 2 years of undergraduate or graduate programs at universities in Japan or abroad. Benefits of the OIST Spring Internship in Japan 2024
- Internship Allowance: Applicants will get 2,400 JPY per working day (Non-taxable and weekends excluded)
- Commuting Allowance: Applicants will get a 100% free OIST shuttle bus pass.

Eligibility Criteria for the OIST Internship in Japan 2024
- The nationals and international candidates are eligible to apply for the Spring Internship 2024.
- Internships are offered to outstanding students in the last 2 years of undergraduate or graduate programs at universities in Japan or abroad.
- Students must enroll in graduate degree programs at universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational schools in Japan or abroad.
- The applicant’s academic background must be in line with the desired internship unit at OIST.
- Applicants must be in their Bachelor’s 3rd year and 4th year and Master’s 1st year and 2nd year students are encouraged to apply.
